One more day and the weekend will be upon us again. It’s my birthday tomorrow, so I will be out celebrating with plenty of cake included I’m sure. Today I am super excited to share some photos from LuMi dining, which is serving up some beautiful food in its equally beautiful location of Pyrmont.
LuMi is only a baby on the Sydney restaurant scene, having opened last year, but it is already causing a stir with fabulous write ups. We booked a table for a Wednesday evening, and prepared ourselves for the 8 course degustation that was to come. At nights, the only menu option is the degustation, but from Thursday – Saturday they offer a 4 course lunch as well.
To be honest, I have not experienced many multi course meals in Sydney – generally I find them very overpriced, and can’t justify the per person cost. You then have restaurants like LuMi serving their 8 course for $95 per person, which is extremely reasonable considering the quality and workmanship of each dish. I have listed out each of the courses below and the photos coincide with the order. The lovely chefs sent us an extra pre-dessert dish, but I was too excited to eat and didn’t remember the details :S woops. So here we go….8 + 1 course of modern Italian with a Japanese twist cuisine…
