A few weeks ago I was lucky to attend the opening of Passion Tree at the Chatswood Interchange. Along with my sister we tried quite a few of the sweet treats on offer. This is the second Passion Tree shop to open, with the first branch being in Brisbane CBD. Set in a beautiful shop, the all white colour scheme makes the eye popping desserts even more delectable and definitely more striking when photographing. We took a seat and looked over the menu, drooling at the options and narrowed it down to a dessert each and some other little treats.
Starting off we chose 4 different flavoured macarons; Pistachio, Salted Caramel, Cookies & Cream and Jasmine. Something I had never tried before was the Bingsoo, a Korean shaved ice dessert. We went for the Green Tea flavour which came with some interesting toppings such as red bean, corn flakes and almonds, which all went surprisingly well together. On a hot day this would be a great choice. My all time favourite was the Choc Honeybread, which is something I tried when I was in Japan a few years ago and have many fond memories of. Imagine a half loaf of bread, toasted but still soft on the inside, drizzled with honey, milk chocolate and topped with strawberries & cream. Dessert heaven! We washed it all down with an Iced Chai Latte for my sister, and a green tea for me.
Passion Tree we will definitely be back. I live so close to Chatswood, so its good to know that there is somewhere close by for sweet treats. Thanks for having us xxx
