Last weekend we headed across to Orange for some Cherry Picking. I had never been before, so wasn’t too sure on what to expect but once we got there, we were greeted by rows and rows of trees, filled with big, juicy cherries. The best part….you can eat as many as you want whilst picking them :). We set off, picking from the trees, devouring far too many and filled our 5kg box quite quickly. Although there is the labour of picking them, it is well worth it as your 5kg box only costs $20, or you can fill 3 boxes for $50. It far surpasses the $12 a kilo the Coles and Woolworths are charging for mediocre, most likely frozen cherries.
To break it up a little, on our way home we stopped off at the Blue Mountains, which looked extremely beautiful as the clouds were all moody overtop and made the scenery look even more dramatic.
I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend. I am off to Chiswick for lunch tomorrow with the girls, so that will be beautiful I’m sure. Then next weekend its Europe time * love heart eyes *. I’m jetting off for three weeks to visit (eat my way through), Italy & London. Wooo!
