I was only in your midst a month ago now, but it seems like an age ago. This post follows on from my Los Angeles Travel Diary, which you can check out here! I was over in the States for work, and I was lucky enough to extend my time in Miami by one night to enjoy what the city had to offer. The 24 hours were jam-packed, with below a proof of the footage. It all started with a trip to Miami Port to board Carnival Glory for a tour and try out some of the food options onboard. A sure winner was Guy’s Burger Joint, where we all devoured a cheeseburger and fries for breakfast, EEK!. For those that are eyeing off that burger, Carnival Spirit (our Australian ship in the fleet) will be fitted out with a Guy’s Burger Joint from August 2015.
We then headed over to Wynwood for a street art instagram meet up. The sun was out, the summer dress was on, and I was snap happy exploring all of the outdoor art pieces that spanned multiple streets. This is by far the coolest area in Miami, very grungy, very raw and ultra cool. Much love to Ennovy, my colleague from Miami for taking us there with her bf Derrick and being our tour guides for the day.
Whilst driving back to South Beach, I captured some great shots of the sky, with the clouds doing their thing in an epic formation. We headed out to dinner and had an early night after too much sun. This worked well for me as I spent my last morning watching the sunrise down on South Beach, and seeing this beach side city come to life on a Sunday morning.
Miami you won me over. Next time I’m staying longer :)
