Ohh London Town, you were much fun and blessed us with amazing weather (by London standard) for our week long stay in October. This post is a small fraction of the photos I took and is dedicated purely to the Borough Markets. Along with the Mercado de San Miguel markets in Madrid, this is another one of my favourite foodie experiences in Europe.
The place to be seen…and the place to buy your coffee. The queue went around the corner and down the street. I though Sydneysiders & Melbournians were coffee fiends.
Barbecued Scallops with Stir Fried Vegetables and Crispy Bacon.
Brownies for all.
Little bit of Spain…PAELLA.
Duck, Duck and more Duck, a little bit of Rocket and Mustard. Now that is what you call a sandwich.
Old school coffee machine…
need one, want one.
Borough Market is open for lunch Monday – Wednesday (10am – 3pm)
The full market is on:
Thursday (11am – 5pm), Friday (12pm – 6pm), Saturday (8am – 5pm).
Be sure to check it out even if you’re only in London for 48 hours. It is a foodies heaven and there are options to suit every type of eater.
