I hope everyone is having a relaxing Sunday night. I am off to see American Sniper soon. It should be good but I don’t think I’ll be in such high spirits after. I had a pretty epic Saturday that I feel you should hear about. Since we had the whole day ahead of us, we decided to drive towards Wollongong and through the national park to a beach called Wattamolla. It is such a beautiful place!! There is a river with a waterfall, and that river then merges into the ocean to form a beach. So happy to have discovered this for the first time and been able to spend the day. Second wonderful thing was being in the stadium to watch the final of the Asian Football Cup and see Australia win first hand :).
Enough about the present, time to step back in the past. My photo post today continues from the previous; Driving the Amalfi Coast in Southern Italy. We had started our drive in Sorrento, and there was one place I wanted to reach before dark, the ocean town of Ravello. Having seen my friends visit there a few years ago, I instantly fell in love with the place and knew that we had to visit this time around. We couldn’t have timed it more perfectly, with the sun setting whilst we walked around and explored.
We visited two separate areas, the Villa Cimbrone Gardens and Le Ville di Ravello. I would suggest the gardens are better visited during other parts of the years, as a lot of the flower beds were quite sparse since it was winter. But for the most romantic view of the Amalfi Coast, you must walk to the balcony deck with the statues at Le Ville. No matter what time of day, that view is priceless.
Enough rambling from me :) enjoy the photos and feel free to post a comment if you have any questions xxx
