This here is my favourite blog post from the Athens collection. Each of the photos depict the things I love about the city. Although grimy and dirty in areas (especially since the economic crisis), the capital city still has its own personality and uniqueness. We spent a lot of our days walking around Monistiraki, Thiseio , Plaka, Gazi, Psirri, Kiffisia, Glyfada and Kolonaki and discovered ancient monuments, modern architecture, graffiti, destruction, greenery and many hospitable locals. This post focuses mainly on the street art and architecture, our hotel in the Plaka district, which had amazing rooftop views and of course a bit of food. I hope you enjoy!!
