Following on from a post that I did a few weeks ago now (which you can have a look at here), today I share a collection of photos from our second stint in Athens over the New Year. Athens city is a walkable city for many of the main attractions, but if you want to explore areas further out such as Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, Piraeus or Kiffisia, they are all easily reached by the metro, train, bus or a pretty inexpensive taxi fare (well…compared to Sydney). Second time around we were staying at the amazing New Hotel just near Syntagma Square. This is probably one of the chicest hotels I have ever stayed in, and although pricier, it is worth the additional cost since the rooms, common areas, service and food were all exceptional.
I have broken out the post with headings below, make sure you add these must see attractions in Athens to your list. In regards to the beautiful church I have photographed near the end, this was situated right near the New Hotel. All I remember is that it wasn’t a Greek Orthodox church. In case you go looking for it, that may help out a bit.

Reliving Athens through photos is a nice way to finish off my Monday. Hope you all have a great week xxx
